1. Cash Reconciliation
Daily Matching: Reconcile daily cash entries across all accounts between internal systems and custodian bank statements.
Break Resolution: Identify, record, and investigate cash breaks, coordinating with treasury, settlements, and custodians to clear outstanding balances.
2. Position Reconciliation
Holdings Balancing: Perform daily portfolio position reconciliations across equities, fixed income, and multi-asset classes.
Discrepancy Triage: Reconcile front/middle-office data against custodian records, resolve corporate action-related breaks, and escalate complex issues promptly.
3. Break Management and SLA Compliance
Tracking and Logging: Maintain comprehensive break trackers with root-cause analysis, clear notes, and status updates.
Cross-Team Coordination: Partner with internal desks and external counterparties to resolve and clear aged or high-risk breaks within SLA targets.
4. Controls, Quality and Audit
Compliance Standards: Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maker-checker controls, and operational guidelines.
Audit and Anomaly Handling: Maintain end-to-end exception documentation and provide verified work papers to support audit inquiries.
5. Reporting and MIS
Status Updates: Generate daily reconciliation status reports, aged break summaries, and exception logs for team leadership.
Dashboard Maintenance: Update MIS reports and operational trackers to provide visibility into daily volumes and resolution trends.
Eligibility & Skills Required
Experience: 1 - 4 years in financial operations (reconciliation, settlements, or fund accounting preferred).
Financial Knowledge: Sound understanding of cash flows, trade settlements, custodian workflows, and multi-asset classes.
Reconciliation Systems: Working knowledge of tools like IntelliMatch, SmartStream, or AutoRek is an advantage.
Core Competencies: High attention to detail, capable of managing high-volume transactional workflows with precision.
Technical & Communication: Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, core functions) with strong verbal and written communication.
Education & Eligibility
Degree: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines.
Freshers: Strong finance graduates eligible for entry-level / junior analyst tracks.
